What is LazyTown?

LazyTown is a funny, fresh show that blends movement, music, comedy and great storytelling in a colourful, fast-paced, upside-down world.
Stephanie comes to LazyTown from the outside world and meets a zany mix of kids and grownups, including the world’s laziest super-villain, Robbie Rotten. Fortunately for Stephanie, LazyTown is also home to Sportacus, an athletic super-hero who jumps, leaps a flips his way across LazyTown while helping Stephanie navigate between healthy lifestyle choices and easy but unhealthy ones.

The unique look of LazyTown combines the worlds of CGI, puppets and live characters. The stories are always lively and entertaining, motivating solid values. LazyTown may have the laziest name on Earth, but it’s jam-packed with action, energy and powerful message that tells all kids they have the will to succeed.

LazyTown makes you feel good!

Stephanie

Stephanie is a sweet, optimistic girl who lives with her uncle; He’s the Mayor of LazyTown. She loves LazyTown; it’s weird but fun. She’s an aspiring dancer, so she appreciates the fantastic moves that Sportacus performs.

Because she wasn’t raised in LazyTown, Stephanie doesn’t struggle with basic health issues like the other kids. Instead, she’s trying to figure out how to stay true to what feels right for her.

Stephanie is positive, curious, affable, and able to learn from her mistakes. She sees her life as a grand adventure. One where she can try new things, makes, new friends, and sometimes hangs out with a hero! Hey, even the chips are down, she holds to her motto:
“There’s always a way!”

Sportacus

As the shows slightly above-average superhero, the real-life embodiment of the action figure every kid dreams of becoming: fit, agile, an amazing acrobat with lightning-fast style. He’s always moving – flipping through the air and landing on his feet.
Sportacus loves to use outrageous ways, often skipping the ordinary when he can do something whit flair. He’s patient, kind, always understanding, and doesn’t tell the kids in LazyTown what not to do.
He prefers to lead by example.

Robbie Rotten

Every hero needs a good villain, and Sportacus has a doozy in Robbie Rotten. Robbie (or Mr. Rotten to you) can’t believe that Sportacus is considered cool by the LazyTown kids, especially since Sportacus is a horrible example of what it takes to be a LazyTown!
The only thing that can tear Robbie away from snacking and TV in his underground lair is a new, nasty scheme to embarrass his sworn nemesis, Sportacus! His most passionate desire is to burst Spartacus’s balloon, both figuratively and literally.
A master of disguises Mr. Rotten is constantly luring our guileless hero into another nefarious trap designed to make Sportacus the laughingstock of LazyTown. But, somehow, Robbie’s “brilliant” plants always fail, thanks to Spartacus’s amazing athletic abilities and quick mind – plus the help of those darn kids!

Mayor

Mayor Means well loves everything about LazyTown. He loves that it’s the laziest place on Earth. He loves that the town has its very own hero who is the sworn enemy of Laziness. And he loves that the hero has nemesis! How can one man be in favor of all these contradictory things? Well, he is a politician, after all.
The mayor often doubles as the town librarian, postmaster, banker, shopkeeper and any other role for which he’s needed. Frantically overwhelmed by his various duties, he figures if HE doesn’t do it, who else in LazyTown will?

He has a “secret” passion for Bessie, but his efforts are always futile and met with semi-disastrous results. He can make mistakes, but the kids loos up to and respect him a Kindly Uncle way – after all he is their only mayor.
